Normal scheduling will resume shortly

Statement

Normal scheduling will resume shortly engages with the arteries which make our cities run, both visible and invisible. The exhibition ruminates on how we think, use and engage with networks and arteries, asking us to consider how we might understand these poetic frameworks. Both Fettling and Anading have engaged with the histories and the flotsam and jetsam that patinas our roads and cities, exploring and considering arteries as sites of congestion, engagement and performance, ruminating on notions of time, movement and navigation. Their works, in constant dialogue, remain open-ended and resolute in their ideas creating unfolding and connected discussions. They don’t seek to provide answers but rather provocations interrupting our thinking so that we can contemplate what it means to move around our cities (Melbourne and Manila) and to live in a world full of systems, both seen and unseen.
